CSO Urges Nigerians To Vote For Good Leaders, Shun Violence

In order to ensure peaceful cohabitation in the nation, a civil society organization (CSO), Connected Development, has encouraged Nigerians to adopt a “no tolerance on violence” policy.

The call was made by Ambassador Hamzat Lawal, executive director of Connected Development, at a peaceful rally with Christians, Muslims, and local leaders yesterday in Okene, Kogi State.

Prior to the general election in 2023, he claimed that the purpose of the protest was to announce that violence would not be tolerated in Nigeria.

He claimed that in order for Nigerians to live in peace and harmony, particularly during elections, they must make sure they don’t accept violence.

“What we need in this country is national cohesion. We need to continue to dialogue among ourselves for peaceful coexistence.

“As we go into the 2023 general elections, both holy books; the Bible and the Quran, have enjoined us to pray for our leaders so that they can succeed because their successes are the sources of our enjoyment and progress,” Lawal said.
