The House urged the NEITI and NUPRC to cancel the recruitment exercises if they were found to be in violation of the Federal Character Principle.

The resolution came after Rep. Ibrahim Muhammed Hafiz Kawu moved to investigate the alleged lopsidedness in the recent NEITI and NUPRC recruitment exercises.

The probe is coming two days after Daily Trust exclusively reported that the South East got the lion’s share of allocation in the recent recruitment of 70 new staff by NEITI, 11 from South-West, 10 each from South-South and North Central, eight from North-West and seven from North East.

He also noted that the agencies are bound by law to comply with Federal Character Principle in all recruitments and employments.
